Madeira 2020 Media Information

Due to the countermeasures against COVID-19 and with the urge to provide a safe competition environment, World Para Swimming has taken the decision to not open media accreditation for the Madeira 2020 European Open Championships. 

The World Para Swimming and the Madeira 2020 Local Organising Committee (LOC) will have a dedicated news and photo service to provide written quotes (in English only) and pictures during the Championships upon requests.

We will do our best to provide the requested content, but please bear in mind that we may not be able to attend all of them.

Medals table: Please note that the competition is also open to athletes from outside of Europe, and for this reason there will be two official medals table. One including all participant nations that can be found on the live results page. And another for European countries only that will be published at the end of European Championships.

Medal ceremonies: During Madeira 2020 there will be medal ceremonies only for European athletes.
