Alicante 2013: What to follow on day four

Russian Sergey Malyshev will be challenging Paralympic champion Korhan Yamac for the European title at Alicante 2013.

In Alicante, Yamac will be challenged for the European title by Russians Valery Ponomarenko and Sergey Malyshev and Serbian Zivko Papaz, three of the other finalists from London.

On the penultimate day of the 2013 IPC Shooting European Championships in Alicante, Spain, four finalists from London 2012 will line up in the P1 (men’s 10m air pistol SH1) on 24 October.

P1 (men’s 10m air pistol SH1)

Relay one - 09:00-10:15 (local time)

Relay two - 11:15 - 12:30 (local time)

Final - 13:30 - 14:15 (local time)

The hopes of Turkish shooter Muharrem Yamac of claiming a Paralympic title of his own were dashed only by Korean Seakyun Park when the two tied for the coveted gold medal in London.

In Alicante, Yamac will be challenged for the European title by Russians Valery Ponomarenko and Sergey Malyshev and Serbian Zivko Papaz, three of the other finalists from London.

A prolific pistol specialist Ponomarenko left the Royal Artillery Barracks on a high after collecting a silver and bronze medal in the P4 (mixed 50m pistol SH1) and P3 (mixed 25m SH1) respectively.
