The International Blind Sports Federation (IBSA) Blind Football has travelled to Armenia this month to help boost the country's new football 5-a-side programme.

Organised in partnership with the Armenian National Paralympic Committee, IBSA will spend time with local players and coaches will include three training sessions in Yerevan.

In addition to the training, IBSA Blind Football officials will meet with the Ministry of Sport, Yerevan City Council and the Football Federation of Armenia to secure support for the sport, and will donate equipment to the progamme.

Armenia first expressed interest in introducing football 5-a-side last May, and set up its programme after receiving a donation of balls and eyeshades.

The Development Project Europe, funded by Union of European Football Associations (UEFA), also has helped support the programme.
