The 2017 World Rowing Indoor Sprints, being held between 10-12 March, are open to everyone and will include Para rowing events for men and women.

This event is about challenging yourself and challenging others to go as fast as you can for 1,000m on the indoor rowing machine. It is the first internationally sanctioned virtual rowing event of its kind.

Around 4,000 people from 52 countries took part in the inaugural edition, last year.

Everyone from novice to elites, juniors to masters and Para rowers entered in 2016 with the youngest competitor being six years old and the oldest 87. They sat on indoor rowing machines in their home, their local gym, their rowing club, or even in the street to race in the sprint.

Medals will be awarded to the top three male and female athletes in each event.

More information is available on World Rowing´s website.
