IPC Shooting Championships Finish in Korea

After countless performances on target, the 2009 IPC Shooting Open Asian Championships ended its week of competitions.

The Championships took place in CheongJu City, Korea, from 23-30 April. A total of 62 athletes from 15 different countries brought out their best skills for the first Open Asian Championships.

Athletes in two different classes (SH1 and SH2) competed in various disciplines including Air Rifle Standing, Air Rifle Prone, English Match .22, Free Rifle .22, Sport Rifle .22, Falling Targets, Air Pistol, Sport Pistol .22, Free Pistol .22 and Air Pistol Standard.

The 2009 IPC Shooting Open Asian Championships were organized by the Cheongju Sports Association for the Disabled under the patronage of the Asian Paralympic Council and IPC Shooting. Only licensed athletes from IPC Shooting were considered eligible for participation.
