"Approved by the IWRF membership at August 2014’s General Assembly, a new structure is set to be implemented which includes three fully sanctioned tournaments"

The International Wheelchair Rugby Federation (IWRF) has announced the hosts of its three divisional 2015 European Championships.

Approved by the IWRF membership at August 2014’s General Assembly, a new structure is set to be implemented which includes three fully sanctioned tournaments and allows all countries within Europe the opportunity to progress to the top division and a chance to qualify for the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games.

The IWRF 2015 European Championships Division C will be held in Dublin, Ireland, between 27 January-1 February 2015, and will include those teams that did not qualify for the IWRF 2013 European Championships, as well as countries that are new to international wheelchair rugby.

Prague, Czech Republic, will play host to the IWRF 2015 European Championships division B competition between 11-19 April 2015. This will include countries that finished in places seven-12 at the IWRF 2013 European Championships, plus the top two countries from division C.

Finally, the IWRF 2015 European Championships division A will include the top six countries from the Europeans in 2013, plus the top two sides from division B. This tournament will be hosted in Pajulahti, Finland, from 13-20 September 2015.
