Jacobsson Wins 2nd Gold at Shooting World Championships

Sweden’s Jonas Jacobsson has again taken a first place position at the 2010 International Paralympic Committee (IPC) Shooting World Championships.

With a result of 696.2 points in the 50m Rifle Prone, Jacobsson was followed by Australia’s Ashley Phillip Adams and Korea’s Jaeyong Sim respectively. Coming in fourth and fifth place were Germany’s Natascha Hiltrop and USA’s Danielle Fong.

On 20 July, Jacobsson had taken first in the Men’s 50m Rifle 3x40 event. Australia’s Ashley Phillip Adams came in fourth place in the event.

On 22 July, the World Championships had a special visit from the British Ambassador in Croatia, HM Ambassador David Graeme Blunt, where he was able to catch in on the precision and accuracy of the Paralympic Sport at its highest level.

The 2010 IPC Shooting World Championships continue through 24 July in Zagreb, Croatia. A total of 246 athletes from 43 countries compete in 31 medal events, including 17 individual and 14 team events.
