Kazakhstan stages Judo Grand Prix and training camp

Judo Grand Prix held in Atyrau, Kazakhstan

The 2017 Judo Grand Prix Kazakhstan and Training Camp took place in the city of Atyrau between 6-10 September, with judokas from six different countries competing.

It was hosted by the Para Judo Federation of Kazakhstan and Department of Physical Culture and Sport of Atyrau region.

Competition was held on the first two days, while Asian and Oceanian Referee Commissioner Kenichi Soshida led a training camp the following two days.

The hosts rounded off a good performance, winning eight medals overall, including golds from Anuar Akhmetov (-60kg) and Oleg Buranko (-115kg).
