With Great Britain entering sitting volleyball teams at the Paralympics for the first time and the gold and silver medallists from Beijing 2008 clashing in the group stages in both the men’s and women’s competitions, there are already some fantastic match-ups to look forward to. It’s great that people still have the chance to buy tickets to be there to experience what promises to be two exciting, and closely contested, events.”

Denis Le Breuilly, Sport Director and Technical Delegate for the World Organisation Volleyball for Disabled (WOVD) said: “In line with the growth of the sport worldwide, London 2012 sees the largest Sitting Volleyball competition in Paralympic Games history. The announcement of the competition schedule is one of the most exciting milestones in the journey to the Games and focuses everyone’s enthusiasm to welcoming the world’s top athletes in the coming months. The WOVD know the event is going to be exciting and memorable in one of the top cities and top venues in the world.”
