Odair Santos speaks to the media after winning the 5,000m T11 world title in Lyon.

By IPC

"I am really happy, I had good sensations on the track even if I did not do a good start, I got better after the first lap, I accelerated and overtook the second and the first to finally reach the gold."

Men's 200m T42

Gold medallist - Richard Whitehead (GBR)

It was tough today. I've had some great support here. I had a bit of a bad situation last week. I broke one my feet whilst out training and then a quad injury. UKAthletics has done amazing to get me on my feet. I raced amazing today and the conditions have played a factor today with the actual time.

It was all about crossing the line first. I really dug in deep that last 20m. It was so tight. That was probably the hardest last 50m in a 200m I ever had to do.

Women's 800m T54

Gold medallist and new world record - Tatyana McFadden (USA)

"It's unbelievable. It was really tough but I was confident in my training and I trusted myself. The support from fans has been helpful as well. I am quite positive for the 100m even though it is going to be such a competive race once again."

Men's 800m T11

Gold medallist - Odair Santos (BRA)

"I am really happy, I had good sensations on the track even if I did not do a good start. I got better after the first lap, I accelerated and overtook the second and the first to finally reach the gold."

Men's discus throw F42

Gold medallist - Aled Davies (GBR)

"I was the favourite and I feel in great form so I expected a win. I made it difficult for myself but managed to smash it. I know what I am able to do. I was very close from the world record and I am sure that someday I will take it off Fanie Lombard. The only question is when."

Men's 10,000m T12

Gold medallist and new world record holder - El Amin Chentouf (MAR)

"The aim today was clear. I was going for the world record. I tried to save energy in the 5,000m two days ago to be ready for this one. Now I am tired. I need to recover in order to perform well in the marathon and then the gold medals will come in threes."

Women's Discuss Throw F54/55/56

Gold medallist - Marianne Buggenhagan (GER)

"I am really moved, happy and proud to win that gold medal at my age of 60. I had good vibes on the field."

Men's 4x100m Relay

Gold medallists - Russia

"It was hard for us but we wont it! Being in France is wonderful, we love it here and we all are very happy."

Men's 100m T44

Gold medallist - Jonnie Peacock (GBR)

"I got a very bad start. There was quite a lot of pressure with the expectations on Browne. But this is actually a positive rivalry for the p

Paralympics in general. I'll come back better, faster so as to break the world record."

Men's javelin throw - F11

Gold medallist - Anibal Bello (VEN)

"It has been really hard. My competitors were really good, and I was phisycally exhausted. But thanks to God I finally got the gold medal."

Women's 100m - T11

Gold medallist - Terezinha GUIHERMINA - (BRA) 239 Gold medalist

"It has been a very tough race. I'm happy but quite disappointed at the same time not to be able to run faster. It's just unbelivable."

Men's 100m - T43

Gold medallist - Alan Fonteles Oliveira (BRA)

"I'm very happy. People were expecting me to break the wold record, but I thought I would not even win this race. Thanks to these two gold medals, I'm giving a start to my international career."

Women's Long Jump - T43/44

Gold medallist - Iris Pruysen (NED)

"I am really excited. It is such a pleasure to win the first gold medal for Netherlands. I knew I was capable to jump over 5m. I did it before and tonight it brought me the win. Now I am going to focus on the 100m and 200m and will do my best to reach the finals."
