Oceania Para-Table Tennis event to be streamed live

The most well-known name on the entries list is easily Melissa Tapper, the best performing para-table tennis player from Australia in decades.

Athletes from 24 different countries will take part in this week’s 2013 ITTF Oceania Para-Table Tennis Championships, which will be broadcast live online at http://mysportlive.com.au/ from the Australian Institute of Sport in Canberra.

The Championships begin on Wednesday (13 November) and will run for three days, and it will be the first time the regional event has been held in Oceania. The event will count toward qualification points for the 2014 World Championships, which take place next September in Beijing, China.

The most well-known name on the entries list is easily Melissa Tapper, the best performing para-table tennis player from Australia in decades. She finished fourth at the London 2012 Paralympic Games and has competed in international able-bodied events as well.

The full list of countries from the Oceania region competing include: American Samoa, Australia, Cook Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, Fiji, Guam, Kiribati, Marshall Islands, Nauru, New Caledonia, New Zealand, Niue Island, Norfolk Island, Northern Mariana Islands, Palau, Papua New Guinea, Samoa, Solomon Islands, Tahiti, Tokelau, Tonga, Tuvalu, Vanuatu, Wallis and Futuna.
