Paris 2024 announces schedule for shooting Para sport at the Paralympic Games

The Paris 2024 event schedule in all 22 sports has been announced, including the seven days of shooting Para sport at next year’s Paralympic Games.

A familiar venue to many athletes as home to one of the most important World Cups in the calendar, France's National Shooting Centre (CNTS) in Chateauroux will host 160 competitors in the Paralympic Games shooting Para sport events from 30 August to 5 September.

The first of the 13 Paralympic champions to be crowned next year will be the winner of the R2 – Women’s 10m Air rifle standing SH1 on Friday, 30 August.

The R6 – Mixed 50m rifle prone SH1 will wrap up the action in Chateauroux on Thursday 5 September.

Shooting Para Sport has featured at every Paralympic Games since 1976 in Toronto, Canada. China topped the medals table in the last edition in Tokyo, Japan three years ago (four gold medals, six in total).
