Rio 2016 launches app of Paralympic mascot Tom
Available for download in English and Portuguese, the app is compatible with Android and iOS mobiles and tablets. 03 Jul 2016Rio 2016 launched an app for mobile and tablet featuring its Paralympic Games mascot, Tom, to strengthen the multi-platform identity of the mascots.
The app has both English and Portuguese versions and is compatible with Android and iOS.
The gamer uses Tom’s power to throw out creative objects from his mane to overcome obstacles and complete each level. The goal is to find the Cariocas Sisters, Vida, Bela and Sol, in a fun game of hide and seek in Rio de Janeiro.
The app has 24 levels in four different scenarios to be explored: Beach Day, Forest Challenge, Mega City and Paralympic Games.
Throughout the game, it is possible to collect Tom’s coins and commemorative medals, the Paralympic Games sports and challenge friends through online ranking.
The Paralympic mascot is a unique mixture of the Brazilian flora. He can transform himself at any time, with determination and joy, because plants are always moving, growing and overcoming obstacles.
Tom practices Paralympic sports and believes there is no barrier he cannot overcome. He can pull anything from his big head of leaves to solve even the hairiest of problems.
As an ambassador of the Paralympic Games, he will teach the people to search inside themselves for their very best.
The iOS version can be downloaded here.
The Android version is available here.
