Russia Leads Medal Tally in Rio

Russia is currently leading the medal tally after the fourth day of the 2009 International Paralympic Committee (IPC) Swimming World Championships 25m in Rio de Janiero, Brazil.

With 23 gold, seven silver and two bronze medals, the athletes from Russia already showed strong performances and set various world records.

Australia is in second place with 12 gold, 12 silver and nine bronze medals. U.S. athletes collected 11 gold, 11 silver and nine bronze medals so far, with athletes from Great Britain following with 11 gold, eight silver and eight bronze medals.
