Swans and World Para Swimming extend partnership until 2024

World Para Swimming and Swans have announced on Tuesday (14 June) the renewal of their partnership for another two years. 

The announcement was made during the Madeira 2022 World Para Swimming Championships which takes place from 12 to 18 June in Funchal, Portugal.

Swans is the official approved supplier of World Para Swimming equipment, specifically Swans blackened goggles for vision impaired athletes competing in classes S/SB/SM11.

To ensure fair competition, swimmers in those classes are required to wear goggles which are completely blackened out, such that no light passes through the lens.

Madeira 2022 is the third World Championships since the partnership between Swans and World Para Swimming began in September 2017.

Craig Nicholson, Head of World Para Swimming, said: 

“Swans has a strong commitment to Para swimming bringing decades of experience producing swimming goggles to create sport specific equipment and support the development of our sport. We are pleased to announce that the extension of our partnership ahead of the biggest Para swimming event of the year here in Madeira.”
