The International Paralympic Committee (IPC) has announced the Ones to Watch ahead of the 2018 Para Table Tennis World Championships, which take place from 15-21 October in Lasko-Celje, Slovenia.

These are the players who have the potential to make headlines at the sport’s biggest competition outside the Paralympic Games. They include Paralympic and world champions, and their biographies are now available on the IPC website.

Borislava Peric-Rankovic (SRB)

Three-time Paralympian has won numerous Paralympic, world and European medals during a glittering career.

Fabien Lamirault (FRA)

Reigning Paralympic and world singles champion continues to hold the top spot in the men’s class 2 world rankings.

Kelly Van Zon (NED)

With three singles golds across three tournaments this year, Van Zon looks a strong contender to complete a hat-trick of World Championship titles.

Laurens Devos (BEL)

Teenage prodigy Devos can already call himself a Paralympic and double-European champion at just 18 years of age. All that is missing is a world title.

Mao Jingdian (CHN)

The reigning Paralympic, world and Asian champion is ready to defend her title.

Natalia Partyka (POL)

For almost two decades, Partyka has been the woman to beat and has continued to challenge herself in both Para and able-bodied events.

Peter Rosenmeier (DEN)

Rosenmeier is out to regain his world title after reclaiming his Paralympic crown at Rio 2016.

Viktor Didukh (UKR)

Captured his third straight European Championship singles title last year, and the world No. 1 has since been on a roll in the men’s class 8.
