Lakeshore Foundation, the High Performance Management Organisation (HPMO) for USA Wheelchair Rugby has announced that James Gumbert has been selected to return as the Head Coach for the program in 2017.

Gumbert, in his 11th year as the head coach, will be joined by Sue Tucker who has also been selected to return for her fifth year with the program.

Assistant Coach Andy Cohn and Strength and Conditioning Coach Steve Pate have both elected not be considered for coaching positions moving forward.

Information about staff openings and the application process will be posted on www.usawr.org in the near future.

USA Wheelchair Rugby starts 2017 with the National Team selection camp set for 5-8 January at Lakeshore Foundation in Birmingham, Alabama. The 2017 team will be announced on Sunday, 8 January 8th.

At the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games, the US team won silver behind champion Australia.
