·The NPC made its Paralympic debut at the Sydney 2000 Paralympic Games.

·Constant Kponhinto was the only athlete representing Benin at the London 2012 Paralympic Games, in the men's shot put F57/58.

·Powerlifter Akouavi Bladine Sahenou finished in sixth place in the women's up to 67.5kg at Athens 2004, the highest position for a Beninese athlete at the Paralympic Games.

·There is no rights holding broadcaster in Benin, but the Paralympic Games can be watched live via the IPC’s website at www.paralympic.org.
