Bosnia and Herzegovina at the Rio 2016 Paralympics

·Bosnia and Herzegovina has claimed four medals at the Paralympic Games: G2-S2.
·Athens 2004 and London 2012 were Bosnia and Herzegovina's most successful Paralympic Games to date, winning one gold medal in both editions.
·The NPC made its debut at the Atlanta 1996 Paralympic Games.
·Bosnia and Herzegovina grabbed a single medal in four of their five participations at the Paralympic Games. Only in 1996 the NPC failed to claim a single medal.
·Bosnia and Herzegovina is in 75th place on the Summer Games' all-time medal table.
·All of the NPCs medals have been won in men's sitting volleyball. They won gold in 2004 and 2012 and bagged silver in 2000 and 2008.
·In each of their four finals they faced Islamic Republic of Iran, winning twice and losing twice.
·Safet Alibasic was already part of the Bosnian sitting volleyball team in 2004, 2008 and 2012 and will also participate at the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games. He can become the first athlete from Bosnia and Herzegovina to win three gold medals at the Paralympic Games.
·Alibasic is on the IPC's ones-to-watch list for the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games.
·There is no rights holding broadcaster in Bosnia and Herzegovina, but the Paralympic Games can be watched live via the IPC’s website at www.paralympic.org.
