·Burundi has yet to claim a medal at the Paralympic Summer Games.

·The NPC made its debut at the Beijing 2008 Paralympic Games.

·Remy Nikobimeze was the only athlete representing Burundi at the London 2012 Paralympic Games, in the men's 800m T46 and 1500m T46.

·Nikobimeze finished in fifth place in the men's 5000m T46 at the Beijing Games, the highest position for a Burundian athlete at the Paralympic Games.

·There is no rights holding broadcaster in Burundi, but the Paralympic Games can be watched live via the IPC’s website at www.paralympic.org.
