Kyrgyzstan at the Rio 2016 Paralympics

·Kyrgyzstan has yet to claim a medal at the Paralympic Summer Games.

·The NPC made its debut at the Atlanta 1996 Paralympic Games.

·Kyrgyz athletes have only competed in powerlifting at the Paralympic Games, all male athletes.

·Roman Omurbekov has recorded Kyrgyzstan's best result at the Paralympic Games with a sixth place in men's 52kg at Athens 2004.

·The only representative for Kyrgyzstan in London four years ago was Esen Kaliev. He finished in 10th place in men's 52kg.

·There is no rights holding broadcaster in Kyrgyzstan, but the Paralympic Games can be watched live via the IPC’s website at www.paralympic.org.
