·Latvia has claimed 11 medals at the Paralympic Summer Games: G3-S4-B4.

·Beijing 2008 were Latvia's most successful Paralympic Games to date, winning one gold and two silver medals.

·The NPC made its debut at the Atlanta 1996 Paralympic Games.

·Latvia is in 65th place on the Summer Games' all-time medal table.

·The NPC has been most successful in athletics, claiming all its 11 medals in this sport (G3-S4-B4).

·Aigars Apinis is Latvia's most successful Paralympian in individual events: G3-S2-B2. He won all his medals in discus throw and shot put events.

·Apinis won his three gold medals at three different Paralympic Games: men's discus throw F52 at Athens 2004, men's discus throw F33/34/52 at Beijing 2008 and shot put F52/53 at London 2012.

·Latvia claimed 10 of its 11 medals in either shot put or discus throw events. Only Armands Lizbovskis claimed the bronze medal in the men's long jump T13 at the Sydney 2000 Paralympic Games.
