·Nicaragua has yet to claim a medal at the Paralympic Games.

·The NPC made its debut at the Athens 2004 Paralympic Games.

·Nicaragua's best result at the Paralympic Games was a seventh place by Gabriel De Jesus Cuadra Holman in the men's 800m T36 at the London 2012 Paralympic Games.

·He also finished eighth in the men's 400m T36 and ninth in men's 200m T36 in London.

·Nicaragua claimed four bronze medals at the Toronto 2015 Parapan American Games: Gabriel De Jesus Cuadra Holman in the men's 200m and 400m T36, Carlos Castillo in

the men's 400m T38 and Fernando Jose Acevedo Gonzalez in men's 72kg powerlifting.

·Nicaragua's women's goalball team finished fifth at last year's Parapan American Games in Toronto.
