The Paris 2024 Paralympic Torch, characterised by its sparkling champaign colour and unique design, represents the spirit of the Games. Created by French designer Mathieu Lehanneur, the torch draws inspiration from three core themes: equality, water, and peacefulness.

Symbolising the Paris 2024 commitment to equality, the torch’s symmetrical design showcases this idea. For the first time, both the Paralympic and Olympic Games have the same design, representing a unified vision of the Games.

Since water plays a pivotal role in the Games, the torch’s design is also inspired by waves and movements of the water.

With its gentle curves, the torch represents a sense of peace and solidarity. It stands as a symbol of the Paralympic Games' mission to promote harmony and unity.
