Seventeen Belgian athletes from three sports have just returned from a week long warm weather training camp in Lanzarote, Spain, ahead of the start of the 2015 season.

Taking place between 9-16 November, and organised by the Belgian Paralympic Committee with the support of InBev-Baillet Latour, para-athletes from track and field, swimming and cycling took part in the training camp which was designed to improve chances of qualification for the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games.

Next year is a busy year for para-sport, and Belgian athletes will be looking to impress at July’s IPC Swimming World Championships in Glasgow, Great Britain, October’s IPC Athletics World Championships in Doha, Qatar and the UCI Para-Cycling Road World Championships which will take place in Nottwil, Switzerland, in late July and early August.

Journalists and some corporate partners were also invited to join the camp at Sands Beach, Lanzarote.
