Call for Vancouver 2010 Research Applications

The International Paralympic Committee (IPC) is calling for research applications for all projects that are to be conducted during the Vancouver 2010 Paralympic Winter Games, from 12 to 21 March 2010. In order to be considered by the IPC, applications must be received by 10 March 2009. All research approved by the IPC must comply with internationally recognized ethical standards and research practices.

Funding for research projects must be secured by the research applicants through their institution or a third-party grant. The IPC currently does not provide funding for any research projects.

The IPC remains committed to furthering research in all areas related the Paralympic Movement. These areas include examples like research in Paralympic Sport, Disability Sport Classification, Sport Counseling, Assistive Technology, Athletic Identity Marketing and Branding, and Development and Public Awareness.
