First World Para Powerlifting Athlete Rep to be elected

World Para Powerlifting invites National Paralympic Committees to nominate one candidate as Athlete Representative for the elections due to take place at the Mexico City 2017 World Para Powerlifting Championships, from 30 September-6 October.

The Athlete Representative will serve a four-year term (2018-2021) on the Sport Technical Committee, acting as liaison between the athletes and the World Para Powerlifting Management Team, representing the views, interests and rights of the athletes and making their voice heard.

Candidates should have strong qualities of leadership, accomplishment, knowledge and respect, both on and off the field of play.

World Para Powerlifting particularly welcomes candidates with experience in and a commitment to the advocacy of athlete related issues. If elected, representatives are expected to devote the necessary time required to attend relevant activities.

Deadline for the submission of nominations is 31 August 2017 (24:00 CET).
