Four teams to play in Sochi’s ice sledge hockey Test Event

The Tournament will include host nation Russia and the defending world champions Canada, as well as the Czech Republic and Norway.

From 26 August – 1 September, the International Ice Sledge Hockey “4 Nations” Tournament will take place in Sochi, Russia, and it will serve as the sport’s Test Event for the Sochi 2014 Paralympic Winter Games.

The Tournament will include host nation Russia and the defending world champions Canada, as well as the Czech Republic and Norway.

All four teams have already officially qualified for the Paralympics.

The competition will be held at Shayba Arena – a modern, brand new venue fully equipped for people with an impairment that will be the home for ice sledge hockey during the Paralympic Games.
