Top German Olympic and Paralympic athletes, including Paralympic medallists Denise Schindler, Christiane Reppe and Edina Müller, presented the German team uniforms for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games and Paralympic Games, designed by Adidas and Sioux, in Düsseldorf, Germany.

There are more than 75 different items of the uniform, including podium and warm-up clothes, and the official Opening Ceremony kit.

Selected items will be sold to the public in Adidas stores and the merchandising store of the German Olympic team.

For the past 44 years, Sioux has provided the athletes’ shoes.

Adidas and Sioux work closely with the DOSB and athletes of the Olympic and Paralympic teams in the selection process of the uniform.

NPC Germany President Friedhelm Julius Beucher said: “The identical uniform for the Olympic and the Paralympic team is a symbol for inclusion in sport.”
