ITTF opens bids for 2017 World Team Championships host

The International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) has announced that the bidding process to host the 2017 World Para-Table Tennis Team Championships is now open.

The World Championships will represent a new format. At the most recent staging of the tournament in 2014 in Beijing, China, team and individual events were held. Now, the disciplines will be separate and will be staged on alternate years, except during the year of the Paralympic Games, when neither team nor individual Championships will be held.
