Women's World Championships: Kelsey DiClaudio gets MVP in Dolny Kubin
USA player also receives Best Forward award for her performances at the inaugural World Para Ice Hockey Women's World Championships in Slovakia 31 Aug 2025
USA’s Kelsey DiClaudio has been selected the MVP of the Dolny Kubin 2025 World Para Ice Hockey Women’s World Championships in Slovakia.
DiClaudio was also named Best Forward of the inaugural tournament with all awards being announced following the gold-medal game in which she led USA to a 5-1 victory over Canada on Sunday (31 August).
The USA forward was also the tournament’s scoring leader with 11 goals and 15 points.
Australia’s goaltender Erika Gosney took home two trophies, as Best Goalkeeper and the Fairplay award.
Norway’s bronze medallist Lena Schroeder was selected the Best Defender of Dolny Kubin 2025.

On her MVP award, Di Claudio said:
“It feels great, but I wouldn’t be able to get these awards without my teammates, without the staff behind us. They propel me to do what I can do on the ice, without them I wouldn’t be able to do this.”
The best players of the tournament were selected by the World Para Ice Hockey Directorate, composed from representatives of all participant teams.
