Lima 2019: Toyota announced as Gold Sponsor

The Lima 2019 Organising Committee has announced Worldwide Paralympic Partner Toyota as Gold Sponsor for the Pan American and Parapan American Games.

Under this agreement, the Japanese manufacturer will become the exclusive sponsor in the automobile category.

As well as that, Toyota will be the official brand for the Torch Relay and will provide Lima 2019 with 15 hybrid cars including the Prius, Rav4 and the new Hatchback; drivers; fuel; insurance and parking spaces to transport executives during both Games.

Toyota will also promote the Lima 2019 Games through advertising campaigns in the media, as well as on digital platforms and social networks.

Lima 2019 President Carlos Neuhaus; Toyota Peru Executive President Toshiro Hayashi; Lima 2019 Communications, Commercial and Marketing Director Juan Antonio Silva; and Toyota Peru Public Relations Manager Yehude Simon attended the signing ceremony held at the National Stadium.

“It’s a special moment. Lima 2019 adds a new sponsor that will also help us transport the torch,” said Neuhaus.

Silva added: “Toyota will be the exclusive sponsor in the automobile category and will be the Torch Route official brand. This is a national event and it’s the last great chance to bring the Games closer to Peruvians.”

Hayashi said: “It's an honour for Toyota to sponsor the Lima 2019 Games, the most important multi-sport event of the Americas to be held in Peru.

“Lima 2019 will be part of the power of sports, that allows us to challenge and inspire us and join forces. We seek to inspire people to go on, achieve goals and reach the impossible. We're happy to be part of an unforgettable sports event.”

People who visit the VIDENA Sports Complex during the Games will be able to attend the Toyota House, a space for special activities to be held and the latest technologies to be offered.
