While Campbell has won gold in the event at the last two Paralympics, Greaves is the two-time defending world champion and will hope to rebound after finishing behind Campbell at London 2012.

When to watch: 18:09 on 21 July

What happened last time: Great Britain’s Dan Greaves took gold in the event at the 2011 IPC Athletics World Championships, as USA’s Jeremy Campbell was left to settle for silver and Iran’s Farzad Sepahvand claimed the bronze.

World-record holder: Campbell set the current world-best mark with a throw of 63.46m at the 2012 Endeavour Games in Edmond, Oklahoma.

Who to watch: While Campbell has won gold in the event at the last two Paralympics, Greaves is the two-time defending world champion and will hope to rebound after finishing behind Campbell at London 2012. These two household names are expected to put on a show for viewers and spectators alike, in a field that also includes a diverse range of competitors from Libya, Croatia, Greece, Brazil, Russia, South Africa and Greece.

Why you should watch: Looking for an event where world records could fall? Then look no further, as between Campbell and Greaves someone could throw well over 60m. Both athletes have also become major ambassadors for para-sport in their home countries, and they could potentially be starting to build-up to their final – and perhaps most successful – Paralympic Games in Rio.
