Milano Cortina 2026 Venue Guide: Milano Santagiulia Ice Hockey Arena
Everything you need to know about the venue hosting all the Para ice hockey action at this year's Paralympic Winter Games in Italy 02 Mar 2026
The Milano Santagiulia Ice Hockey Arena will serve as the central stage for Para ice hockey at the Paralympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026, offering a purpose built environment designed to elevate both athlete performance and spectator experience.
All Para ice hockey games – from group stage to the medal games – will take place there, creating a single venue atmosphere that concentrates excitement and builds momentum throughout the tournament.
The largest indoor venue for sport and concerts in Milan, with a seating capacity up to 16,000 spectators, the arena is part of the redevelopment of the Santa Giulia district, located in the southeast of the city. In the Olympic Winter Games, Milano Santagiulia hosted preliminary and medal games.
The Milano Cortina 2026 Para ice hockey tournament will run from 7 to 15 March, featuring eight national teams: Canada (CAN), China (CHN), Czechia (CZE), Germany (GER), Italy (ITA), Japan (JPN), Slovakia (SVK), and the United States (USA). Teams will be divided into two groups of four for the preliminary round, with each team playing three round robin games. The top two teams from each group will advance to the semifinals, while the remaining teams compete in classification games to determine final rankings.
