World Para Ice Hockey has opened the bid process for the Paralympic Winter Games Qualification Tournament, inviting potential host cities to bid for the event.

The Paralympic Winter Games Qualification Tournament will be a six-team, round-robin tournament in late October or early November of 2021.

It will include the sixth, seventh and eighth-place finishers from the 2021 World Championships A-Pool and the first, second and third-place finishers from the 2021 World Championships B-Pool.

Teams will compete to secure two of the remaining available sports for the Beijing 2022 Paralympic Winter Games. China has already guaranteed one spot as hosts of next year's Winter Paralympics.

The deadline for interested organisers to submit their Bid Interest form is 8 May. A host city will be selected and announced mid this year.

Interested host cities can find more information here.

The last Paralympic Winter Games Qualification Tournament took place in Ostersund, Sweden, where the Czech Republic, Japan and Sweden earned their spots at the PyeongChang 2018 Paralympic Winter Games.
