Sweden name 14 more athletes to Rio 2016 team

The Swedish Paralympic Committee has named 14 more athletes from across the para-sport spectrum that will represent their country at the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games between 7-18 September.

The Swedish Paralympic Committee has named 14 more athletes from across the para-sport spectrum that will represent their country at the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games between 7-18 September.

Five table tennis players, a judoka, an equestrian athlete, a wheelchair tennis player, four swimmers and two shooters have all punched their tickets to Rio thanks to their performances at competitions in the last few months.

The Swedish Paralympic Committee concluded its consultation with the respective national coaches to finalise the latest list:

Alexander Ohgren, table tennis (class 3)

Ingela Lundback, table tennis (class 5)

Emil Andersson, table tennis (class 8)

Linus Karlsson, table tennis (class 8)

Victor Sjoqvist, table tennis (class 3)

Nicolina Pernheim, judo (up to 63kg)

Louise Etzner Jakobsson, equestrian (grade III)

Stefan Olsson, wheelchair tennis (men singles)

Pernilla Lindberg, swimming (S14)

Lina Watz, swimming (S10)

Mikael Fredriksson, swimming (S3)

Ludwig Nyren, swimming (S10)

Philip Jonsson, shooting (SH2)

Martin Hall, shooting (SH1)

Sport fans from around the world can now buy their Paralympic tickets for Rio 2016 from authorised ticket resellers (ATRs).

The IPC’s Global ATR is Jet Set Sports, and Rio 2016 tickets and packages can be purchased on the CoSport website.

Residents of Brazil can buy 2016 Paralympics tickets directly from the Rio 2016 website.
