Korea, Germany, Estonia and Sweden are the four teams who will be competing in the upcoming 2009 International Paralympic Committee (IPC) Ice Sledge Hockey Paralympic Winter Games Qualification Tournament.

Listed above in seeded order, the tournament will take place in Malmö, Sweden, from 9-13 November. The first day of competition will be Korea against Sweden at 10:00, and Germany against Estonia at 14:00.

Estonia and Sweden were the top two finishers in the 2009 IPC Ice Sledge Hockey World Championships B Tournament this year in March, and Germany and Korea took the last two places in the 2009 Ice Sledge Hockey World Championships A Tournament in May.

All of the athletes in Malmö will have the Vancouver 2010 Paralympic Winter Games on their minds, as the Qualification Tournament will secure placement at the Games for the top two finishers. The Paralympic Winter Games next year, taking place from 12-21 March, will give athletes in Ice Sledge Hockey another chance to show their elite skills in the Paralympic Sport.
