The World Para Athletics Grand Prix is back in 2022 marking the first season in the new cycle towards the Paris 2024 Paralympic Games. 

More information and the provisional calendar can be found below.

Dubai 2022 Grand Prix - 13th Fazza International Championships
Dubai, UAE; 21 – 24 March 2022

The Grand Prix season will kick off in the United Arab Emirates for the fifth year in a row at the 13th Fazza International Championships. The venue is a familiar track and field to many of the world's best as it hosted the 2019 World Para Athletics Championships. Last year's Dubai GP saw four new world records, including one in the women's 100m T63 with Italy's Ambra Sabatini making her international debut - six months later she claimed another gold medal this time at the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games.

Jesolo 2022 Grand Prix - Italian Open Championships Competition
Jesolo, Italy; 6-8 May 2022

The Italian city made its debut as part of the World Para Athletics Grand Prix season last year and will now host some of the world's best in May at the Armando Picchi Stadium.

 

 

 

Nottwil 2022 Grand Prix – ParAthletics 2022

Nottwil, Switzerland; 26 – 28 May 2022

The Swiss city is famous for the fastest track in wheelchair racing which attracts not only the best racers but also some of the most successful throwers in the circuit every year. The venue also hosted the first two editions of the World Para Athletics Junior Championships in 2017 and 2019.

Paris 2022 Grand Prix - #Handisport Open Paris
Paris, France; 9 - 10 June 2022

Host city of next year's World Championships and the 2024 Paralympic Games, the French capital will receive once again one of the European stops in the Grand Prix season. The Stade Charlety held the competition for the first time in 2017.

Tunis 2022 Grand Prix - 16th Tunis International Meeting
Tunis, Tunisia; 27 - 29 June 2022

The most traditional international Para athletics event in Africa is again part of the Grand Prix in the 16th edition of the Tunis International Meeting at the Athletics Stadium Rades. Last year, the host nation topped the medals tally followed by Morocco and Colombia.

Monterrey 2022 Grand Prix - Abierto Mexicano de Para Atletismo 
Monterrey, Mexico; 21 - 23 July 2022

The Grand Prix season will go to Mexico for the first time in history. Monterrey will host a three-day competition from 21 to 23 July. It will be the first GP in the Americas region in more than two years. The last event took place in Arizona, USA in May 2019.

Marrakech 2022 Grand Prix - 6th International Para Athletics Meeting 
Marrakech, Morocco; 15 - 17 September 2022

Africa will host two Grand Prix in the same season for the first time when the Grand State de Marrakech holds three days of Para athletics action in September. The Moroccan GP will provide competition opportunities for athletes from all over the world in the second half of the year.
