Ukrainian ‘One to Watch’ Leila Adzhametova lines up in the T13 sprints at next month’s World Para Athletics Championships in London, Great Britain. Here’s what you need to know:

Five Facts About Leila Adzhametova

1) Adzhametova beat South African world champion Ilse Hayes at her first international race in Nottwil, Switzerland, in May last year - breaking Hayes' 100m T13 world record in the process.

2) She won a special Order of Merit from Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko for her achievements at the Rio 2016 Paralympic Games.

3) The 23-year-old went on to lower her own world record further on her way to 100m T13 gold in Rio.

4) She also won Paralympic bronze in the 400m T13 with a personal best time.

5) Adzhametova took up athletics aged 11 and is from Kharkiv, the second-biggest city in Ukraine.
