Bangkok 2024: World Championships C-Pool schedule announced

World Para Ice Hockey has announced the schedule for the World Para Ice Hockey Championships C-Pool, which will take place from 26-30 November in Bangkok, Thailand.

The Sport Association for the Disabled of Thailand under the Royal Patronage of His Majesty the King (SPADT) will serve as the Local Organising Committee (LOC), having previously organised the 2022 edition of the event as well as the 2023 World Para Ice Hockey Skills Development Camp.  

The tournament will take place at the Thailand International Ice Hockey Arena and will be played in a round-robin format followed by a medal round with four teams: Finland, Austria, Thailand and Australia. Finland will be the top-ranked team entering the competition, having been relegated from the B-Pool.

 

The complete schedule is as follows (all times are Local Time, UTC+7): 

26 November 
14:00 — Thailand vs. Australia
17:30 — Finland vs. Austria

27 November 
14:00 — Austria vs. Australia
17:30 — Finland vs. Thailand 

28 November
REST DAY

29 November 
14:00 — Austria vs. Thailand
17:30 — Finland vs. Australia 

30 November 
14:00 — Bronze-medal game
20:00 — Gold-medal game

This will be the fourth edition of the World Para Ice Hockey Championships C-Pool, having previously been held in Bangkok (2022), Vierumaki, Finland (2018) and Novi Sad, Serbia (2016). At the last edition of the World Championships C-Pool, Great Britain took home the gold, Kazakhstan claimed silver and France won bronze.
