Berck-Sur-Mer 2018: Vote for Best European Powerlifter

World Para Powerlifting has revealed the shortlist for the ‘Best European Powerlifter’ following Berck-Sur-Mer 2018 and the public can now vote for their winner on Facebook , Twitter and Instagram.

The powerlifter with the most combined votes among all social media pages will be the winner.

The nominations are:

Ali Jawad (Great Britain)

Returned to competition after his longest Crohn’s Disease flare up since being diagnosed in 2009, winning gold in the men’s up to 54kg.

Justyna Kozdryk (Poland)

Took her third consecutive European title in the women’s up to 45kg after lifting 96kg.

Mariana Shevchuk (Ukraine)

Made history by lifting an unprecedented 130.5kg to set a new world record in the women’s up to 55kg.

Rafik Arabat (France)

Home crowd loudly celebrated gold in the men’s up to 88kg through Rafik Arabat, who topped the podium thanks to a 196kg lift.

The public has until 12:00 (CEST) on Monday (11 June) to vote for the powerlifter they want to be the ‘Best of the Europeans.’
