The Nottwil 2017 World Para Athletics Junior Championships will continue on Friday (4 August) with action-packed morning and evening sessions.

Host nation Switzerland will be hoping to win their first title through Andrin Deschwanden in the men´s 200m T33-34 Youth (U18). But he will face tough opposition from Australia´s Nathan Donaldson and Luff Gregory.

The USA´s Hanna Dederick seeks to seal her second gold in consecutive days, this time in the women´s 200m T53-54 Youth (U18), after winning the 400m T51-54 Youth (U18) on Thursday.

Jamaica´s Tevaughn Thomas aims to make another leap forward in the men´s 100m T45-47 Junior (U20) following his bronze-medal performance in the 200m. Meanwhile, triple Youth Parapan American champion Lucas Sousa Pereira of Brazil is the strong favourite in the men´s long jump F42-47 Junior (U20).

Germany are also hopeful of landing gold in the women´s long jump F35-38 Youth (U18) through Annegret Schneider, Weh Klara and Leonie Duering.
