The British Athletics Glasgow International Match on Saturday (26 January) will include events for athletes with an impairment for the first time in the competition’s 25-year history.

Great Britain’s Libby Clegg and Stef Reid, both London 2012 silver medallists, will headline the T11/12 60m race and long jump F44/46, respectively, at the 5,000-seat Emirates Arena.

Three members of the British gold-medal winning 4x100m T37 relay team will all line up over 60m as well, including Olivia Breen, Katrina Hart and Jenny McLoughlin. They will line up against Namibian Paralympic star Johanna Benson, who won a gold and a silver at London 2012 and is up for next month's prestigious Laureus Award.

“I’m just happy to be able to compete against the people that I ran against at the Paralympic Games," Benson told the Namibian. "The 60m is a very short distance but I will do my best."

In addition, London 2012 bronze medallist Ola Abidogun of Great Britain will take on the field in the 60m T46 race.

The competition is the first major indoor event on the UK Athletics calendar this year.
