Ahead of next month’s West Asian Para Games, the Jordan Paralympic Committee has staged a Technical Official Certification Course for a group of participants.

The course, which took place from 19 to 22 of August at the offices of the NPC, saw ten people successfully earn their Level 3 Certification.

“Participating in this course was a great opportunity to learn from an educator with lots of experience,” said participant, Rasha Al Khayyat. “I deepened my understanding of the Rules and had the chance to practice applying my skills as a Technical Official.”

“With this, I’m ready for my role at the West Asian Para Games!”

The course was taught by Educator and Level 1 Technical Official, Azzam Al-Zubi.

“All of the course participants brought passion and enthusiasm for the sport,” said Al-Zubi. “I’m confident they’ll be great Technical Officials at the Games and long afterwards.”

The Para powerlifting competition at the Amman 2019 West Asian Para Games will take place from 18 to 20 September.
