New Zealand’s Paralympic and eight-time world champion Mary Fisher and Germany’s three-time and sixteen-time world champion Daniela Schulte will take their rivalry to the Rio pool on 16 September.

This race is very special for Fisher because four years ago at London 2012 she picked up her first Paralympic gold. Ever since, Fisher dominated it winning two world titles.

Schulte will be challenging Fisher and looks very strong, especially after she finished only 0.11 seconds behind her in the race for World Championships gold in 2015.

Dutch’s youngster Liesette Bruinsma swam the best time this year so far and looks like she could land a big upset in the race for the title.

All the swimming action will be played out at the Olympic Aquatics Stadium between 9-17 September.
