“The inclusion of Para trap is a positive step forward to grow and enhance the shooting sports.”

The integration of Para trap into the World Shooting Para Sport family continues to move forward, after the sport’s international federation expanded its partnership with electronic scoring systems provider SIUS to include the discipline.

World Shooting Para Sport signed a sponsorship agreement with SIUS last year to run through to 2024. Now, with the inclusion of the shotgun discipline, fans can followed live results of the sport at the historic World Cup event.

The federation has also published an updated rulebook to include the discipline’s new rules.

The announcement comes at an ideal time before the first Para trap World Cup event from 15-16 September in Lonato, Italy.

Tyler Anderson, World Shooting Para Sport Manager said: “Our partnership with SIUS has been integral for us as a federation and the development of the sport. We are thrilled to expand this partnership and continue to align ourselves with high quality organisations like SIUS. “The inclusion of Para trap is a positive step forward to grow and enhance the shooting sports.”

Para trap was approved as an official discipline by the International Paralympic Committee (IPC) Governing Board in May, clearing a path for further development and integration into World Shooting Para Sport competitions.
