Ticket sales for the Rotterdam 2023 European Para Championships (EPC) have started. The EPC is a unique top sports event, in which the best athletes from shooting Para sport and other nine Para sports compete for European titles.

Tickets for the event which will be held from 8 to 20 August 2023 are on sale via the EPC website. A day ticket, which allows you to visit all sports in Rotterdam Ahoy, costs €7.50. The outdoor venues and the City Centre Courts in the heart of Rotterdam, are free to the public.

"This is a unique event organised for the first time in Europe. With Ahoy as the main venue, but also various center courts in the centre of Rotterdam, we bring the sport to the people," Tournament Director, Jeroen Straathof, said. "By jointly organising ten European Championships, we can offer several sports a top-level platform. I therefore invite everyone to come and encourage these great athletes this summer."

City Centre Courts free of charge

A day ticket of €7.50 gives access to shooting Para sport and all other sports in Rotterdam Ahoy, based on availability. Preference for the sport you want to watch will be made when you purchase your ticket.

The matches at the outdoor locations and City Centre Courts, such as boccia and wheelchair tennis finals at Schouwburgplein and Para archery finals at Kop van Zuid, can be visited free of charge. By doing so, the organisers aim to make the event accessible to a wide audience.

Alongside shooting Para sport, the European Para Championships will host Para cycling, Para archery, Para badminton, wheelchair tennis, boccia, goalball, wheelchair basketball, Para judo and Para taekwondo. Besides competing for the European title, athletes in a number of sports will also be aiming for qualification points ahead of the 2024 Paralympic Games in Paris.

The multi-sport event will become a permanent part of the Para sports calendar, returning to a major European city every four years.

This will be the first time the Netherlands host the Shooting Para Sport Euros. The last edition took place in Hamar, Norway in 2022. Slovakia topped the medals table picking four gold and two silver medals.
