National sportscaster John Buccigross is an ambassador of the programme and will help support Labatt’s efforts to raise funds for USA Hockey’s sledge hockey programme.

USA Hockey announced on Friday (24 April) its expanded partnership with Labatt USA in support of a new initiative that will raise USD 250,000 and launch 10 new adult sledge hockey programmes across the USA in one year.

National sportscaster John Buccigross is an ambassador of the programme and will help support Labatt’s efforts to raise funds for USA Hockey’s sledge hockey programme.

Team USA captain and Paralympic gold medallist Josh Sweeney joined Buccigross, Lisa Texido, brand manager at Labatt, and Lee Meyer, Senior Director of Marketing at USA Hockey, to make the announcement.

Labatt will begin a retail promotion this fall to raise money with specially-marked packs of Labatt Blue and Labatt Blue Light.

USA Hockey also will oversee the administration of funds and the creation of the 10 new sledge hockey programs, including the costs associated with sledges, sticks, equipment, ice time, uniforms, training and coaching.
