World record holders Asmahane Boudjadar and Safia Djelal are among the names to watch for in Algeria's team for the World Para Athletics Championships London 2017.

The National Paralympic Committee (NPC) of Algeria has confirmed 19 athletes will compete in the British capital from 14-23 July,

Boudjadar, who won Rio 2016 gold in the shot put F33, set a new javelin world record at the Grand Prix in March in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. Djelal is also the world record holder in the javelin F57, and is defending her world title in London. Nassima Saifi is another one to watch - she goes into London as the Paralympic discus throw F57 champion.

Other Rio 2016 champions joining are Samir Nouioua (men’s 1,500m T46) and Abdellatif Baka (men’s 1,500m T13).

At the 2015 World Championships in Doha, Qatar, Algeria's 15 athletes won 11 medals (two gold, seven silver and two bronze medals).
