The event will take place for a second year in a row from 26 to 28 May, marking the second Grand Prix held in May after Jesolo, Italy (6 to 8 May).

The Swiss city is famous for the fastest track in wheelchair racing, which attracts not only the best racers, but also some of the most successful throwers in the circuit every year. The venue also hosted the first two editions of the World Para Athletics Junior Championships in 2017 and 2019.

In 2021, the Sport Arena Nottwil welcomed 272 athletes from 47 nations in an unforgettable three-day competition.

Mexico will be home to a World Para Athletics Grand Prix for the first time this year when Monterrey hosts the GP from 21 to 23 July.

The Monterrey 2022 Grand Prix will mark the return of the GP season to the Americas region. The last competition to take place in the continent was the Arizona GP in USA in May 2019.

The Armando Picchi Stadium will host the Jesolo 2022 Grand Prix from 6 to 8 May. The Italian city joined the GP season last year with 275 athletes from 33 nations competing.

Host city of the next Para Athletics World Championships in 2023, the French capital will host the Paris 2022 Grand Prix - Handisport Open Paris from 9 to 10 June this year at the Stade Charlety

The venue is the same set to hold next year’s Worlds. Paris first hosted the Grand Prix in 2017.

Dubai, UAE kicked off the Grand Prix calendar with 446 athletes from 43 countries competing from 21 to 24 March at the Dubai Club for People of Determination - which hosted the 2019 World Championships.

The traditional Tunis GP is set to take place from 27 to 29 June in the Tunisian capital followed by the Marrakech GP in Morocco from 15 to 17 September.

World Para Athletics will announce new additions to the Grand Prix season soon with two events likely to take place in Europe in May.
